Port Dover. Imagine a high-speed catamaran -- the likes of which never seen before
on the Great Lakes -- cruising into Port Dover harbour and letting off 300 passengers.
Norfolk County is working closely with officials in Erie, Pennsylvania, to realize
this dream. A passenger market analysis determined that of the seven
million trips taken within the study area per year, 763,637 passengers and 337,627
autos could be diverted through an Erie-Dover ferry service per year in 2010.
